Un turista canadiense solicitó la intervención de la policía por el cobro de 1000 dólares en un taxi que lo trasladó dentro del Aeropuerto Internacional de Cancún y solicitó la intervención; el hecho quedó registrado en video.
El video en cuestión fue hecho desde el Aeropuerto Internacional de Cancún; en el arranque del mismo se puede escuchar el reclamo del turista canadiense por un cobro de mil dólares por llevarlo de la terminal 4 a la terminal 3 del aeropuerto.
“Quiero a la policía ahora mismo”, reclamó el canadiense, quien compartió la placa 67HB1R para dejar registro del vehículo que denunció mientras el conductor intentaba calmar los ánimos de la denuncia; “take it easy, ¿yo qué güey?, only driver”, le dijo.
En la segunda parte del video, el turista canadiense explicó que hubo corte ya que el taxista de Cancún intentó escapar de la zona del aeropuerto con su equipaje, luego de cobrarle 1000 dólares por un viaje de la terminal 4 a la terminal 3.
“Este tipo acaba de intentar robar 1000 dólares y luego huye de mí en el coche, casi me rompo la pierna en el aeropuerto”
El conductor del taxi nego en reiteradas ocasiones la versión del canadiense, quien solicitó a gritos la intervención de la policía del Aeropuerto Internacional de Cancún, la cual se hizo presente por medio de algunos elementos que acudieron en respuesta del llamado.

Tras la viralización del video que protagonizó un turista canadiense en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Cancún, algunos usuarios de redes sociales reaccionaron por este caso debido a la tarifa que se le buscó imponer a la persona en cuestión.
En ese sentido, un usuario de X (antes Twitter) señaló a los operadores de taxis como una mafia:
“Triste la mafia de taxistas en Cancún, me imagino que aliados con las autoridades ya que este es uno de tantos casos que suceden diario”
Otra persona criticó el hecho de que el canadiense que hizo la denuncia únicamente buscaba trasladarse de la terminal 4 a la terminal 3 del Aeropuerto Internacional de Cancún:
“No fue, ni siquiera, por llevarlo al aeropuerto, fue por cambiarlo de terminal. Ni 2km deben ser”
Mientras que otra persona que se identificó como extranjera aseguró que este tipo de casos suelen suceder en México ante el cobró de este y otros tipos de servicios:
“Es cierto, yo he ido a México de vacaciones y siempre por ser extranjero te quieren cobrar más en cualquier lugar”.

I was still in the car and the situation escalated at the Terminal 4 where I managed to get the attention of the touriste and traveler waiting for they flights. When the taxi saw the security he tried to escape with me and my luggage in the car but I manage to jump in the front of the car and shift the transmission on Park which almost result in a car accident. The airport security arrived just in time before situation got even more crazy. I filled a report number against the driver and the taxi airport , I believe some of the cops and security agent over there where also in the scam because they wanted me to go the police station to press charge against the driver but to only get rid of my story and all the proof I have against the scam system at the airport including Security and the Airport Taxi Company. I believe if I would stop the car in time something even worst was waiting for me. Are these scammers still working at the Cancun Airport?! If yes help stop this corrupted system and DO NOT TRAVEL TO MEXICO!????????⚠️
